About Mel Hayes Photography

My name is Mel, I'm a "Lifestyle and Events" photographer based in the Hills area of Sydney Australia.

I love to photograph People, Families and Events. Special occasions photography for families has become very popular as I pride myself in getting those unique, candid & timely photos. I do not have a "set up" studio, instead i'll meet you at your local park, beach or event.

Having worked with children for many years and now having my own, has given me the ability to connect and capture on camera the natural and beautiful innocence of children in a fun and relaxed way. So there is no pressure or demands put on parents or kids for staged photos. We have fun!

I love to story tell with photos. I want to capture personalities, so that in years to come seeing that picture will take you back to that moment in time. With my photography I aim to speak and feel emotion so you can ‘hear’ uncle George’s funny laugh… or you can feel the heartbeat of Mum hugging her children or simply ‘feel’ the warmth from people in love.

I believe photography is a unique art and every photographer brings their own speciality. What I want to offer you, is to tell the story of the season of life you are in. Whether you want beautiful individual photos, or several photos framed together that compliment each other. I want to capture your precious moments to share with generations to come. My hope with my photos is that they might stimulate conversations, love and laughter.

I am creative, unique, passionate and always learning. I am a listener, and really care about getting those special photos for your season of life. Please flick through my gallery pages to see if my style of photography is what you are looking for. I can plan and produce beautifully presented prints as well as supply digital files.
